A 75th minute penalty goal to Wellington first five-eighths Jackson Garden-Bachop kept points table advantage intact with a 27-24 win over Otago at Westpac Stadium on Sunday. The win ensured Wellington will be top qualifier in the Championship 16 points ahead of Otago and Manawatu on 21 points with Northland fourth on 20.

A major highlight on the Wellington Lions calendar is the charity game.
This year the team will be raising funds for Wellington Children's Hospital and will run out in an especially designed playing jersey.
Kick-off is at a family friendly time, perfect for a day out with the family enjoying afternoon rugby. Wairarapa Bush takes on Horowhenua-Kapiti in the curtain raiser at 12.10pm.
CHARITY JERSEY
Wellington Rugby unveiled the Lions 2017 Charity Jersey which their players will wear during this Wellington Children's Hospital Charity Game against Otago.
