BLACKCAPS v England (T20 Tri-Series)
Tuesday 13 February 2018
RESULT: NZ won by 12 runs over England
The BLACKCAPS batting needed a spark and captain Kane Williamson stood tall to provide it, snapping out of a lean patch to bludgeon 72 off 46 balls to lead their imposing total of 196-5.
It equalled their ground record from two years earlier against Pakistan and proved too much for England - still without injured skipper Eoin Morgan - who managed 184-9 for a third straight defeat.
Wellington is counting down until the BLACKCAPS face familiar foes, England, in February! It’s all about pace, power and payback in this T20 Tri-Series match.
We’re expecting the Barmy Army to descend on our cool little capital ready to support their team, and will be hoping for redemption after the last time England faced the BLACKCAPS on Kiwi soil, losing by eight wickets in the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
