We are expecting 37,500 people to this match, and we can’t stress this message enough – arrive early! We encourage all fans to arrive at least 90 minutes before kick off to ensure you get into the venue in enough time to see the teams to field and kick off. 

It’s been a tough few years for everyone and we are looking forward to being back at full capacity once again. But, we ask that you be kind and patient to all our staff working in the venue. We are all working hard to deliver a fantastic event and to ensure everyone has a great night. Please read the below information to help plan your day.

Tickets

Check your tickets in advance. Mobile and ezy-tickets are in use for this event. 

  • If you have selected "mobile ticket", please click here to read the mobile ticket FAQs.
  • If you selected “ezyTicket” as your delivery method, please ensure you have printed your tickets before heading to the game and have these ready to scan at the turnstiles. Please note your ezyTicket will not work on your mobile phone.

We strongly advise against purchasing tickets from any unauthorised ticket resellers as the tickets may not be genuine or may be cancelled by the event organiser. Ticketek is the only authorised sales channel for this event. 

Car parking

The Stadium car park is now SOLD OUT.

It will open at 1.00pm. Park up early and enjoy the afternoon in Wellington before coming to the Stadium by foot!

Standard size vehicles only up to 2m wide x 5.4m long x 2.2m high can park in the public car park on event day. Larger vehicles may be turned away at the owners’ risk. No campervans, motorhomes, buses.

If you have pre-purchased a car park, you will need to arrive at least two hours prior to kick-off if you wish to be in your seat in time to see the teams run out, perform the haka and kick off at 7.05pm. Please remember to print out your ezyticket and have ready to show on your arrival to the car park. Car park ezytickets must be printed; mobile versions are not accepted. Once parked, please visibly display your ticket on your dashboard.

Public transport options

With great train and bus connections to the Stadium and a short walk to the front gates, we strongly encourage public transport to attend this match. Additional services will be in operation and the 50% discount on public transport fares is still in place!

To save yourself time and stress on the night, check transport routes in advance and leave plenty of time for your travel to Sky Stadium so you can kick back and enjoy the game.

Drop off information  

Taxis, rideshares, and drop offs are not permitted within the Stadium after 5.00pm. Taxis, rideshare and public drop-offs are available after 5.00pm at Bunny St (Wellington Railway Station) and on Thorndon Quay at the Thorndon Spiral access to Sky Stadium. It is then a short walk along the Fran Wilde Walkway to the front gates. 

Mobility drop-offs are permitted in the ground level drop-off lane, at all times, on presentation of a valid Mobility Permit. Please have your permit visible at all times and ready to present to Stadium staff on arrival. A stadium transport service is available to transport you from the car park to the front gates. Please speak to staff for more details.

Pick up information

After the event, there are no taxi stands at the Stadium. Taxis are available at Bunny St (Wellington Railway Station) and on Thorndon Quay at the Thorndon Spiral access to Sky Stadium immediately following the match. 

Taxis are available in the ground level car park pick up lane approximately 45 minutes after the final whistle.

A stadium transport service is available to take you from the Stadium to the car park, top of the Railway Station ramp and Thorndon Spiral. Those with mobility requirements will have priority. Please speak to staff for more details. Please note this can only operate when it is safe to do so, and once the crowd has dispersed.

Buses & coaches

All coaches wishing to drop-off or park for Stadium events require a permit from the Bus & Coach Association. Click here to apply. Please note that demand is high for these events and there are strictly limited permits available on a first-in first-served basis. You must have your permit with you on arrival to the Stadium or you will not be permitted entry.

All chartered buses and coaches will be allocated parking on Thorndon Quay, adjacent to the Thorndon spiral, and all buses and coaches must display a valid permit. There will be no bus parking in the Stadium car park or neighbouring precinct. Any operators failing to comply will be denied access to future Stadium events. 

The best option is to use public transport if you can.

Food & drink

  • 20% off food on the concourse between 5.00-5.30pm. Check out other options here.

  • Roti Bros and Wilson Barbecue will have food trucks in operation on the inner plaza.

  • All food and beverage outlets will be open plus additional facilities on the inner plaza and around the concourse. View the concourse map here

  • Small amounts of food for personal consumption is allowed. 

  • You can bring in an empty clear plastic water bottle (max. 1 litre).

  • Water fountains are also located at Aisle 2,6, 9, 11, 23, 25, 28 and 32.

  • Serving limits for alcoholic drinks per person may apply.

Merchandise

Merchandise will be available from the caravan on the inner plaza and at aisles 14 and 22 on the concourse.

General information

If you are unwell, please stay at home.

There will be hand sanitising and hand washing facilities throughout the Stadium.

While not mandatory at Sky Stadium, wearing a facemask is strongly encouraged while entering and moving throughout the venue, to help slow the spread of Covid 19 and other seasonal illnesses.

For the safety of all patrons, bag searches will be conducted on entry into the Stadium. Entry and search processes will be thorough so please ensure you allow plenty of time. 

The Fran Wilde Walkway is part of the Central City Alcohol Ban area. Drinking and/or possession of alcohol is prohibited at all times in any public place within the Wellington city control area.
