Westpac Stadium will host the second test of the 2018 Steinlager Series; New Zealand v France.

MATCH DAY SCHEDULE:

1.00pm – Public Car Park Open (The Car Park is now FULL)

3:00pm – Ticketek Box Office Open (Prior to 3pm tickets can be collected from the Wellington i-SITE at 111 Wakefield St -9am-5pm Saturday)

5.30pm – Gates Open 

7.35pm – Kick Off

9.17pm – Estimated End of Match

CAR PARKING (The Car Park is now FULL)

The Stadium car park is open from 1.00pm for this event at a cost of $30 (please note there is a fee for paying by credit card or eftpos of .60c). Online car park bookings are now closed. There are a limited number of spaces available, we encourage all patrons to use public transport if possible.


PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public Transport is a great and easy way to get to the Stadium. Trains and buses will be running extra services both pre and post matches, and there is an additional ferry service departing Queens Wharf for Days Bay at 10pm >> Met Link Service for All Blacks v France

To save yourself time and stress on the night, check transport routes in advance and leave plenty of time for your travel to Westpac Stadium so you can kick back and enjoy the game.


ROAD CLOSURES

Pre-Event 3pm – 8.30pm

· Bunny Street Closed at Featherston End (lane separation for vehicles exiting Bunny St onto Waterloo Quay,

median island gap coned off)

· No right turn closure Waterloo Quay, southbound into Bunny St.

· Stout St, no right turn into Bunny St.

· Featherston St Left Lane Closure south of Mulgrave St to Whitmore St.

· No left turn into Bunny St, southbound Featherston St

Post Event 8.30pm – 11.30pm

· No right turn closure Waterloo Quay, southbound into Bunny St.

· Stout St, no right turn into Featherston St and Bunny St

· Thorndon Quay closed (Davis St to Mulgrave St)

· Mulgrave St closed (Aitken to Thorndon Quay/Featherston St)

· Featherston St closed (Mulgrave St to Whitmore St)

· Bunny St at Featherston St end (without lane separation for vehicles exiting Bunny St onto Waterloo Quay)

DROP-OFF INFORMATION

Taxi and public drop-offs are available at Bunny St (Wellington Railway Station) and the Thorndon Spiral. It is then a short walk along the Fran Wilde Walkway to the front gates. 

Mobility drop-offs are permitted in the ground level drop-off lane on presentation of a valid Mobility Permit. Please have your permit visible at all times and ready to present to Police or Stadium staff on arrival. A people mover service is available to transport you from the car park to the front gates. Please speak to staff for more details. 


BUSES & COACHES

All coaches wishing to drop-off or park for Stadium events require a permit from the Bus & Coach Association >> 

Please note that demand is high for these events and there are strictly limited permits available on a first-in first-served basis. You must have your permit with you on arrival to the Stadium or you will not be permitted entry.

Buses and coaches will not be permitted near the Stadium precinct and surrounding areas without a valid permit. There are no provisions for drop-off within walking distance to the Stadium. Any operators failing to comply will be denied access to future Stadium events. 

 

The best options are to use public transport if you can.


PICK-UP INFORMATION

There are no taxi stands at the Stadium. Taxis are available at Bunny St (Wellington Railway Station) and the Thorndon Spiral. 

A people mover service is available, especially for the mobility impaired, to take you from the Stadium to the car park, top of the Railway Station ramp and Thorndon Spiral. Please speak to staff for more details. 


GENERAL INFORMATION

For the safety of all patrons, bag searches will be conducted on entry into the Stadium. Entry and search processes will be thorough so please ensure you allow plenty of time. 

The Fran Wilde Walkway is part of the Central City Alcohol Ban area. Drinking and/or possession of alcohol is prohibited at all times in any public place within the Wellington city control area.


FOOD & DRINK

  • All food and beverage outlets will be open plus additional facilities on the Plaza.
  • You can bring in an empty clear plastic water bottle (max. 1 litre).
  • Water coolers are situated around the Concourse.
  • Serving limits for alcoholic drinks per person will apply.
