Sky Stadium (Wellington Regional Stadium Trust) is thrilled to have been named as a finalist in three categories in the 2019 NZEA New Zealand Event Awards.
- Best Cultural Event 2019: Te Matatini ki te Ao (held at Sky Stadium in February 2019)
- Best Entertainment Event 2019: Eminem Rapture (held at Sky Stadium in March 2019)
- Best Venue 2019: Sky Stadium for Te Matatini ki te Ao and Eminem Rapture
The three awards recognise one of the busiest periods in the Stadium’s 20 year history. With over 100,000 people through the gates in the first 3 months of 2019.

Months and months of planning went into ensuring top-class delivery of both events but it was the commitment, hard work and professionalism of our Stadium team and key suppliers that stand out as key to the success over this period”.
Spanning 18 categories, the 2019/2020 NZEA New Zealand Event Awards recognises excellence of the individual and team efforts of the people, companies and sponsors who deliver the concerts, shows, exhibitions and attractions that bring visitors to New Zealand and entertain local Kiwis.
The NZEA NZ Event Awards winners will be announced at a gala evening in Auckland in May.
