Event day information for Sky Stadium Members and their guests
Getting to the Stadium
Sky Stadium is centrally located and close to Wellington Railway Station and major bus routes. We recommend public transport for all patrons travelling to the Stadium. We also recommend arriving early for all events.
Vehicle access is from Waterloo Quay. A limited number of car parks below the public walkway are available on event day. These can be purchased in advance via the relevant event page on our website.
The drop off point for taxi and ride-share vehicles is at the ground level adjacent to the pedestrian ramp for most events. For larger events such as concerts and test matches, drop offs are at Bunny Street or Thorndon Quay.
Entry to the Stadium and Members Club lounges
Please use the central turnstiles with signage for “Corporate Box, Members, Guests Entry” and have your Sky Stadium Membership Card ready for scanning. If you are collecting a Guest Pass from inside the venue, you will need a barcoded ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased via the relevant event page on our website or from any of the open ticket booths on the day.
For everyone’s safety, bags will be required to be checked by security before entering the venue. Please check our entry conditions here.
Once you are through the gates, please use the entrance marked “Functions, Corporate Boxes, Members, Guests” to access the Corporate Foyer.
If you have a barcoded printed ticket you will need to collect an event Guest Pass from the Members Helpdesk, which is just to the left of the escalators. Members can purchase up to one Guest Pass per Stadium Membership held. The Members Helpdesk is available from gates opening until the start of the event. Please note that Guest Passes are not available at all events.
Please visibly wear your Stadium Membership Card or Guest Pass lanyard at all times and show to security if asked to do so - at times you may be provided with a wristband instead of a lanyard. Security will check these are valid at the bottom of the escalators before you can proceed up to the Members Club. There are also elevators available for those with low mobility.
Any pre-arranged tabs for collection will be available at the Maitre D desk in the Level 4 Members Gallery.
Your Sky Stadium Membership Card or Guest Pass will provide access to three Stadium Members Club lounges:
- Level 4 Members Gallery: the largest of our lounges, located at the top of the escalators. A range of food and beverages are available to purchase. Seating is available at any of the bar leaners, round tables, or in the unreserved tiered seating and outdoor balcony.
- Level 4 Members Lounge: a quieter space adjacent to the Members Gallery. This space is often used for pre-booked hospitality and has couches available along with unreserved tiered seating and outdoor balcony.
- Level 3 Members Clubroom: located just to the right, behind the escalators, this lounge includes direct access to outdoor reserved seats, as detailed on your Membership Card or printed barcoded ticket.
If you have any queries relating to the lounge locations, please ask one of our staff to assist.
Please return any guest passes and their lanyards to the drop box on Level 1 when exiting the venue.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are located at the northern end of the Members Gallery or across the bridge walkways adjacent to the elevators on Level 4. There are also bathrooms located near the entrance of the Members Clubroom on Level 3. Stadium hosts will be able to give directions if required.
Dress and Behaviour Standard
A tidy standard of dress is required in the Members Club and all guests are asked to maintain a standard of behaviour that does not disturb other’s enjoyment of the event. Please avoid the following:
- Ripped, frayed or torn clothing.
- Jandals/flip-flops, slippers, UGG boots, gumboots or bare feet.
- “Stubbie” style shorts or sports shorts, inappropriate length shorts, skirts or dresses.
- Swim or beachwear, including board shorts.
- Tracksuits or work overalls.
- Peaked caps or beanies.
- Sleeveless singlets or tank tops.
Please note: Sandals, which have straps that secure at the ankle, are acceptable.
All clothing must be tidy and presentable. Members and their guests may be denied entry to the Members Club lounges if they do not meet these requirements.
Smoking/Vaping
A reminder that Sky Stadium is a smokefree and vape-free venue, and no smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the Stadium premises once you have proceeded through the entry gates. The exception being designated smoking/vaping areas along the fences outside the main concourse doors 1-18 and 19-36.
Exiting the Stadium
The Members Club lounges usually stop service one hour after the scheduled end of event, with the lounges closing shortly afterwards. Please note the scheduled end of the event may differ from the actual end of event.
The on-demand rank for taxis and shuttles is at ground level on exiting the venue for most events. Take the pedestrian down-ramp near the turnstiles. There is no rank for chartered or “ordered” taxis or shuttles. No taxis or shuttles are permitted on the upper plaza for at least 30 minutes after the conclusion of an event. Priority will be given to mobility impaired passengers.
For larger events, such as concerts and test matches, taxis are not permitted on site until 30 minutes after the event. We recommend being collected from the railway station or Bunny Street. Please note that pre and post event road closures may be in place around Sky Stadium. Keep an eye on the relevant event page for traffic updates.
